A Newfoundland resident in Corner Brook damages police vehicle, threatens to kill officers and police dog

At 1:30 a.m., RNC in Corner Brook found 34-year-old Christopher Payne, who was unlawfully at large since September 16, on Humber Road.

Upon approach, Payne fled on foot but was apprehended an hour later hiding in a parked vehicle.

During his arrest, he allegedly damaged a police car window and threatened officers and a police dog.

Payne now faces charges including breach of probation, property damage, threats, and weapon possession.
