Canada Created 64,000 Jobs in September  — Statistics Canada

Statistics Canada’s recent Labour Force Survey established that Canada created 64,000 jobs in September.

Even though the number of jobs created in September is +0.2% higher than the jobs created in August (40,000), Statistics Canada’s report revealed that:

“The unemployment rate was unchanged in September and stood at 5.5% for the third consecutive month.”

This steadiness in the jobless rate can be attributed to the fact that more individuals have entered the workforce as well.

Within a month, Canada’s adult population grew by slightly over 82,000 people, with nearly 72,000 falling within the labour force category. This category encompasses individuals who are of working age and actively seeking employment opportunities.
