Canada Inflation Rate Drops to 3.8% — Statistics Canada

Statistics Canada just released the consumer price index (CPI) for September which saw a 2-point drop from 4.00% in August to 3.80% in September.

Statistics Canada establishes that:

  • Price growth for groceries continues to slow, but remains elevated
  • Consumers pay less for airfares
  • Prices for durable goods decelerate
