“How are you helping Canada?” Canadians query Trudeau as he adds $650 million aid to Ukraine following Zelenskyy’s visit (total support now $9.5+ billion)

Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s two-day visit to Canada last week has attracted more supports from the Canadian government.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau announced a $650 millionmulti-year commitment that provides predictable, steady support to Ukraine,” including the shipment of additional armored vehicles and increased financing for mental health and charitable organizations. This is in addition to the suspension of 63 Russian citizens and entities.

A revised Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) was also signed by the two countries to:

“supports long-term security, stability, and economic development in Ukraine while also ensuring high-quality market access terms for Canadian businesses participating in Ukraine’s economic recovery.”

However, many Canadians are not satisfied with Trudeau’s incessant supports to Ukraine with the recent support bringing the total assistance to over $9.5 billion since 2022 when the Russia-Ukraine war began.

Below are some reactions of Canadians from social media:
