About 90% of Indigenous Women Killing is Done by Indigenous People — Statistics Canada

In an October 4 release, Statistics Canada established that:

“Most Indigenous women and girls were killed by someone that they knew (81%), including an intimate partner (35%), acquaintance (24%), or family member (22%). In most cases, the person accused of their homicide was also Indigenous (86%).”

This has dismissed the unfounded claims in the past that a “genocide ” is waged against Indigenous women.
