RCMP Launches a Criminal Investigation Into Premier Doug Ford Greenbelt Scandal

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has launched a criminal investigation into allegations associated with the decision of Ontario’s decision last year to remove land from the protected Greenbelt as part of its larger initiative to construct 1.5 million homes by 2031.

Two legislative overseers determined that the procedure for choosing which lands were excluded from the Greenbelt was flawed and appeared to favour specific developers.

The investigation comes after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) referred the matter to the RCMP.

RCMP O Division’s Sensitive and International Investigations (SII) unit is now investigating the matter.

Premier Doug Ford’s Greenbelt land swap scandal has been under scrutiny for some time now. The criminal probe is expected to shed more light on the matter.

This should be a very telling chapter in the Ford government . It’s be fairly obvious to me that he has interests in the construction industry from the first . Free schooling for 1200 people to go into the trades says to me that he knows developers that require 1200 employees that they want us to train which suggests insider desires being catered to . The greenbelt scandal is far worse . From the reports of the timeline some developers had inside information that was designed to profit those people in a huge way . Hopefully this investigation reveals all and appropriate steps are taken
