Why Canada Was Excluded From The Quint Joint Statement On Israel-Palestine War

Canadians were angered by the absence of Canada on the Quint joint statement about the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine.

This is because the statement was jointly released by 5 of the G7 nations, excluding Canada and Japan. Proper context was not provided by the media which resulted in different interpretations.

It was later learnt that the statement was released on behalf of the Quint group, not G7. As such, Canada and Japan don’t have a business with that since they’re not part of the Quit group.

The Quint group constitutes 5 of the G7 countries that have nuclear weapons and nuclear weapons sharing programs.
